Siveco China Newsletter September 2016 | 阅读本期和以往中文版新
Dear Readers,

Siveco China is on the Maritime Silk Road for power generation projects in Sri Lanka... and Tanzania! As usual, my team performs best when I am away travelling…

Chinese flags raised on the Colombo waterfront, in Sri Lanka, in honor of the Chinese National Day

In my absence, three major projects in the Chinese waste & water market have been signed and launched! One contract is for a waste treatment plant of Suez, a global player in the sustainable management of resources and a faithful Siveco China client for over twelve years. The other two (much larger) are with local state-owned water utilities. Multisite utilities remain the key target market for us in the region and we have obtained excellent results over the years.

Earlier last month, two projects have been started with automotive suppliers, operating large factories in Shanghai and Suzhou, helping them align their maintenance practices with World Class Manufacturing principles. We have accumulated a lot of experience optimizing maintenance in the automotive industry, with very cost-conscious clients operating in a cut-throat competitive environment.

In the property market, we remain more active than ever, as owners are becoming aware of the importance of maintenance especially in large complex buildings. My team is currently performing a BIM consulting contract for the future operation and maintenance of an ultra-high building (530 meters) under construction in Tianjin. This project combines our expertise in O&M data preparation services and BIM integration tools, allowing all O&M data to be directly available from the 3D BIM model, and conversely.

Meanwhile on the Maritime Silk Road… Nine power plant projects are still ongoing, at various stages, in Algeria. We work under contract with Korean and Turkish EPC companies, supplying the CMMS “turn-key”, which means all the plant technical data is in the CMMS before plant start-up, ensuring smooth transfer of know-how between the EPC and the operator. Siveco is now well-known for this unique service capability and our export business in growing fast with Asian EPC companies and directly with power utilities in various target markets. Which explains my current travels…

Since we are so busy this month, we have decided to keep the newsletter very short, with some of our news: a new waste-to-power plant project, COSWIN 8i at the French Embassy in Beijing, contracts with Italian automotive supplier Sogefi, another automotive project with a joint-venture in Shanghai and, last but not least, our fantastic 4-day company outing in Beihai and Weizhou island! Enjoy!

We hope you enjoyed the very brief September newsletter.
