Opportunities behind the crisis

Dear Reader,

I was interviewed recently on the impact of the long Covid-19 crisis and our development perspectives. This is what I said:

In the field of maintenance, crises sometimes turn out to be beneficial. Manufacturers must optimize the management of their assets, which they could neglect in good times. China’s growing regulatory constraints are also rather favorable to us, as our solutions ensure their effective implementation.

At the same time, we observe a cleaning up of the digital market. Companies rethink their big and often fruitless “4.0” projects, returning to more practical decisions. Many “predictive maintenance” startups that promised infinite wonders have gone bankrupt. A lot of “digital twin” players will follow. The market seems to be returning to reason, that is to industrial improvement objectives.

I think we are emerging from this crisis stronger, with a unique software arsenal, 18 years of experience in China, a strong regional coverage in Asia, not to mention export contracts with Chinese builders. My team, unified by the crisis, is ready to take up this new challenge.

In this month newsletter, we are pleased to present how we support maintenance and regulatory compliance in some of our food industry clients in China. The Reliability article takes the example of Baosteel Gases to introduce the application of FMECA (Failure Mode, Effects & Criticality Analysis) as part of the enterprise quality management system. Followed by Tips & Tricks showcasing the integration of bluebee® X with BIM. In Siveco China people, we highlight some of our November events. Plus our Latest News. Enjoy!
