5 days company outing to Guizhou

On September 21, the Siveco team took the plane to Guizhou for a 5-day trip during the Mid-Autumn Festival. Guizhou province, located in southwestern China, is world-famous for mountain tourism. During this trip, we started from the western part of Guizhou to the east, passing through many famous attractions.

For the first day of our travel, we arrived at hotel at 1am after long flight delays, but we were still looking forward to the second day outing!

On September 22, we took the bus to Huangguoshu National Park. The park centers on Huangguoshu Waterfall and is scattered with 18 waterfalls of various sizes. The giant Huangguoshu Waterfall is the most magnificent member of this family and the only waterfall that can be viewed from above, below, front, back, left and right in the world!

The Siveco team walked through Doupotang Waterfall and Tianxing Resort to finally reach the Huangguoshu Waterfall. Once we saw the majestic waterfall, our fatigue disappeared. Some of our members even managed to see the rainbow rising above the waterfall. This was the luckiest moment in our memory and travel experience.

The next day, we spent 4 hours on our way to Libo, a small county located in north Guizhou, famous for its natural scenery and minority culture. Our destination was Libo small seven-hole scenic area, which is named for an old seven-hole bridge built during the Qing Dynasty. Our members pressed on without pausing until reaching to bridge. At the same time, our Siveco team took many group photos, many of them to compare our jumping skills!

Walking along the scenic trail, we passed by Wolongtan waterfall, Cuigu waterfall, crossed the long water forest, enjoyed the Laya waterfall and 68-level waterfall, and arrived at the seven-hole bridge at last. Unfortunately, due to heavy rains in the past few days, the water level was alarmingly high: the large seven-hole scenic area was temporarily closed, requiring flood discharge. We were however not disappointed by this small setback, everyone still immersed in the beautiful scenery.

On the fourth day, we left Libo and started heading to Qiandongnan Miao and Dong Autonomous Prefecture, a gathering area for minorities such as Miao, Dong and Yao. Xijiang Miao village turned out to be the most mysterious destination of our trip, attracting all of us. This Miao village is the largest worldwide and thus the first choice for understanding the long history and development of the Miao people in China.

The most exciting moment was yet to come: all our team members donned local ethnic costumes and experienced the local customs. We walked to the riverside, taking the pose as Miao people. Precious memories. Our pretty girls and handsome guys adding to the beauty of the landscape…

The following high point was dinner time. A local toasting custom is known as GaoShanLiuShui (high mountain and flowing water), whereby Miao girls hold their pots, one on top of the other, pouring the rice wine like a waterfall all the way to the guest’s mouth. Some of our members were lucky to experience this local etiquette, with the Miao girl singing, everyone looking at them drinking rice wine, cheering up and applauding. In the evening, we got to the viewing platform and enjoyed the bright round moon over the Miao village together, finally wishing each other good night.

On the last day, we woke up naturally and simply wandered around village. After buying some souvenirs, we left this great place, on our way back home.

Although the 5 days outing is over, we will never forget this precious life experience! We also thank all our team members who stayed at the office to ensure customer support! We are now looking forward to the next outing!
