From performance dashboards to large touchscreen displays

Siveco has always emphasized giving greater visibility into Operation & Maintenance, disciplines traditionally hidden, which leads to inefficiency. This article features the powerful reporting and business intelligence capabilities of Siveco’s Smart O&M solution, in particular when used on large touchscreens.

Integrated management dashboard, KPIs and reports

Siveco’s Smart O&M solution incorporates an embedded, highly-configurable graphical reporting tool, designed to help users analyze O&M data from different angles, technically, operationally or financially, to support the decision-making process. All reports are accessible from the users’ PC, while simplified reports can also be made available within the bluebee® mobile app.

Siveco provides a library of standard reports based on the EN 15341, Maintenance, Maintenance Key Performance Indicators standard, which can be easily customized by end-users to meet specific reporting requirements. The EN 15341 standard is beautifully conceived as it helps answer business questions (“Should I replace this machine?”) rather than simply provide metrics. The user-friendly reports allow O&M personnel and plant management to evaluate maintenance effectiveness and asset performance, thus providing a clear rationale for strategic and financial decisions. All reports allow intuitive drill-down all the way to specific records, with access to all system data and features.

Make O&M visible to all stakeholders on a large touchscreen display

Reports are all viewable on any user’s PC via their browser, yet they take another dimension when seen on a large screen and in particular a large touch-screen (this features requires optional modules to be installed and configured, as well as an optional service package for the design and configuration of the Smart O&M dashboard for touch-screens). Large screens, inexpensive nowadays, can be setup for example in the workshop, maintenance office, control room or even in the plant’s main lobby, etc. giving unprecedented visibility into the O&M.

Deploying the system on touch-enabled displays in the control room provides a real-time operational view for all stakeholders, operator, owner, authorities and even visitors. Indeed, a touch-screen greatly facilitates and even encourages interaction with the users. Boss: “Why is our risk level orange-colored?” Staff: “Please click and you will find out”.

Running Siveco’s Smart O&M on touch-screens or large display panels gives unprecedented, immediately actionable, visibility into O&M. It has also proven to an excellent showcase for Smart O&M excellence, helping motivate the O&M team, getting buy-in from the management and creating awareness of O&M to all stakeholders. Based on our experience, we very strongly recommend all our clients to incorporate this concept in their project.
